This year, I decorated super early for Fall and, on September 28th, posted a mini vlog in the style of a “Get Ready with me” on my Instagram Reels, titled “Cozy Fall Afternoon“, where you see me prepping my room for fall and Halloween. Recently, I have been loving filming and editing concise videos and posting them on my socials; you can check them here.
I haven’t shopped anything new, so all the deco was already from last year, but I really appreciate the minimalistic final look. I don’t personally feel the need to decorate my room more than it actually is. However, if I had my own home, I would definitely decorate the living room a little more and play around with decorations!
Before I start decorating for Winter and rebuild my “Pink Winter Wonderland” like I did last year, I thought I’d share some of the pictures I took two weeks ago for Halloween! This year I wanted to display my LONDON to HOGWARTS ticket I managed to get from Primark a while ago. It is absolutely one of my favorite purchases, and it just blended so well with the rest of the decorations. I also displayed some cute Witchy illustrations and my new favorite pin featuring Hedwige from Morgane Brret, a very talented artist that I have been following for years and who has my continuous support (I am completely and utterly in love with her drawing style, and is a great inspiration for my own art).
Last month, I finally ordered a clothing rack to hang my favorite seasonal sweaters and clothes. My Liz Lisa white nightgown is always displayed on the last hanger because it is way too pretty to be in the closet! This particular rack is made out of rose gold pipe copper, and I asked it to be custom made for the exact size I needed, which is 60cm. I didn’t need more than that and since the only available spot in my room was in between the room door and the bed, and it didn’t allow more than perhaps 65/70cm. The smallest size available in their shop is 80cm, and you can invoice them for any custom size that is not offered as an option.
Last year, I was a Black Swan Ballerina, and this year for Halloween, I didn’t really feel like dressing up, but I have had this idea for ages and woke up on the 31st morning motivated to take some pictures for a costume, if I may call it that! I was not sure you remember those the W.I.T.C.H comics, but I was absolutely obsessed with them back in the days, so I decided to dress up a little bit in their style, using a very similar color palette. After drawing the wings myself, I was thrilled with the final result and saw myself as one of them for a split moment!
Hoping that next year will more joyful and that we may enjoy Halloween better!
